Children move into our toddler room when they reach 18 months. The children are allocated a keyworker who continually cares and supports them throughout their developement. Each child has a development file, which contains observations, photos and key aspects of their development. These files are available for parents to view on request.
In the toddler room we follow the Birth to three framework, and all of the activities we provide are closely linked to the aspects set out in the framework.
It is during the childrens time in this room that toilet training is encoraged, initially using a potty. The children are encoraged to wash their own hands and face in order to enhance the development of personnel hygiene skills.
