Our Baby room accommodates babies from 6 weeks to 18 months of age. The age structure for the Baby room is not fixed and would depend on your childs individual needs and how ready they are for more structure and stimulation. Children develop at their own pace and we keep records which monitor their progress.We always keep parents/carers informed at all stages along the way. Each child is given their own Key worker on a one to three ratio.
The Staff in our Baby room are Katrina( Room Manager) and Clare. Katrina has been with the Nursery for 9 years and Clare has been with us for 6 years.
All activities within the Baby room are on a four week rota. This ensures the toys are regularly changed to keep the children stimulated.
We work towards the "birth to three matters" framework. This helps the staff to support the children in their "Early years", which is broken down into 4 development stages which are, a healthy child, a skillfull communicator, a strong child and a competent learner.
Before your child starts with us full time in the Baby room we encourage parents to spend some time in the room with our "settling in" visits. The staff will spend time with you discussing your child individual needs and routines.
